8 RAID Modes for Complete Flexibility and Data Security
The key advantage is its 8 RAID modes , allowing you to optimize your storage for speed, redundancy, or capacity:
- RAID 0 (Striping) – Maximum speed, combines drives for faster performance (no redundancy)
- RAID 1 (Mirroring) – Data redundancy, copies data to two drives for complete protection
- RAID 3 – Byte-level striping with dedicated parity for efficient data protection
- RAID 5 – Block-level striping with distributed parity (requires 3+ drives)
- RAID 10 – Combines mirroring and striping for both speed and redundancy (requires 4 drives)
- CLONE Mode – Exact duplication of one drive to another for backups
- JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) – Merges multiple drives into one larger volume
- PM (Normal) – Each drive appears as an independent volume
The hardware RAID controller allows easy setup without downloading any applications. For more RAID storage options, browse the UNITEK DiskGuard Raiden 2.5″ USB-C to SATA III HDD/SSD Enclosure and the UNITEK USB 3.0 to DiskGuard Raiden SATA III Enclosure.
Dual Connectivity – USB 3.0 5Gbps and eSATA
This enclosure features a USB 3.0 interface with up to 5Gbps data transfer for connecting to modern computers, while the eSATA port supports up to 3Gbps for legacy device compatibility. The included USB-A to USB-B cable (1.2 meters) and eSATA cable provide flexible connection options. For high-speed data transfer, pair this enclosure with UGREEN USB 3.0 Cables and UGREEN USB Hubs.
Intelligent Temperature Control Fan for 24/7 Operation
The standout feature is its intelligent temperature control fan . The fan adjusts its speed based on the hard drive’s temperature, ensuring optimal cooling with minimal noise. Front and rear cooling holes provide efficient heat dissipation, keeping your drives cool during extended use. This is essential for 24/7 operation in server rooms, media centers, and backup workstations.
