10 FAQs:

1. Can this single station charge my MacBook Air and iPhone at the same time?

Yes, perfectly. Plug your MacBook Air into one of the USB-C ports (70W) and your iPhone into a USB-A port (30W). The smart chip will allocate ~45W to the laptop and ~18W to the phone for simultaneous fast charging.

2. What does “GaN” mean and why is it better?

GaN (Gallium Nitride) is a newer semiconductor material that is more efficient than traditional silicon. It allows chargers to be smaller, run cooler, and waste less energy as heat, which translates to better performance and portability.

3. How does the power sharing work when all 4 ports are used?

When all ports are active, the station allocates a total of up to 63W. UNITEK USB 4 (USB-IF Certified) 100W PD Fast Charging Cable with 8K@60Hz and 40Gbps Typically, the first USB-C port gets priority for high power (e.g., 45W for a laptop), while the remaining ~18W is shared between the other USB-C and the two USB-A ports for phones/accessories.

4. Does it support Samsung Super Fast Charging?

Yes. The USB-C ports support PPS (Programmable Power Supply), which is required for 25W Super Fast Charging on compatible Samsung Galaxy S25, S24, and S23 series phones.

5. Is the UK plug included for use in Pakistan?

Yes. The package includes four interchangeable plugs (UK, EU, US, AU). You can attach the UK plug (Type G) which is the standard used in Pakistan.

6. Can it charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro?

A 16-inch MacBook Pro typically requires 96W or 140W. This station’s 70W output will charge it but at a slower rate than the original charger. It is best suited for 13-inch/14-inch MacBooks, MacBook Air, iPads, and phones.

7. UNITEK 188W PD3.1 Desktop GaN Charging Station 5-Port Laptop & Phone Charger Does the vertical stand feel stable?

Yes, the slim cradle is weighted and designed to hold the charging station securely in an upright position, preventing it from tipping over when plugging or unplugging cables.

8. Are charging cables included?

No, cables are not included. You will need to provide your own USB-C and USB-A cables. For optimal fast charging, we recommend using certified high-wattage cables.

9. Is it safe to leave devices connected overnight?

Yes, the built-in multiple safety protections (over-voltage, over-current, etc.) are designed to safeguard your devices. Once a device is fully charged, the power management will shift to a safe trickle/maintenance mode.

10. What is the warranty for this product?

UNITEK provides a standard warranty for its products. For detailed warranty information and support, please refer to the manual or contact UNITEK Pakistan.
